I’m a midwest transplant who chose Oregon as my home because of its natural beauty and strong sense of community. I am a Registered Nurse, Certified Personal Trainer, and Nutrition coach. With 12 years of experience working in hospitals I've learned my true passion is helping people create lifestyle changes in an effort to live healthier and more fulfilling lives. I enjoy all things outdoors - camping, backpacking, boating, hiking, climbing mountains, etc. When I’m not at Stronger or doing Nurse work, you’ll likely find me with my family, whom I am incredibly grateful for!

It was not until 2015 that I discovered functional training and developed a passion for fitness. As a coach at Stronger, I enjoy helping people move better and find an active lifestyle that brings them better health. I am here to help you reach all your goals and then some!

I’m Jena! I have been connected with the Stronger Community for over 4 years now. Hands down, this is the place! I’m so thrilled to be coaching here and to bring in some new and exciting things for you all. I am an ACE Certified Personal Trainer with nearly 10 years of experience. I also hold a specialty as a RRCA Running Coach. My favorite pastime is finding some woodsy trails to run and hang with my family and dog, Twiggy.

Whether your goals are for strength, running education, overall fitness, or just a fun sweat, I am here for it!

My name is Mario and I am a native of the PNW, I became passionate about training after spending years as an athlete even leading me to a college football career at Eastern Oregon University. After suffering a substantial knee injury, I began to learn the importance of intricate techniques for lifting, stretching and rehabilitation resulting in a better well rounded athlete. I enjoy working with folks who are passionate about learning and bettering their lives while incorporating fun in doing so. Encouraging whole body care is also a strong passion of mine. Lifting has taught me to live in the present and disconnect from all outside stressors, allowing full focus on what I have control of: what’s right in front of me. In my spare time, I enjoy hanging outside with my two sons, my wife and our dog.

As a NASM-certified personal trainer with 15 years of experience as a chef, I’m ready to help you meet your fitness and food goals! My goal is to create a welcoming and judgement-free space for anyone and everyone who wants to exercise and eat great food. I specialize in strength training, barbell, and meal planning that tastes good. As a queer woman, I know first-hand that weightlifting can be an intimidating space to enter. Thanks to some friends who showed me the ropes early on in my journey, I ended up falling in love with it. Now, I strive to help others do the same.

As a person who formerly weighed an unhealthy 305lbs, I have been on an incredible journey toward improved health and wellness for the past 10+ years…ask me about it! Over the last several years I have become an ACE Certified Health Coach, Personal Trainer, and Group Fitness Instructor. While pursuing these certifications, I discovered my passion for helping others become healthier and have developed the belief that everyone deserves a mentally, physically, and spiritually healthy life – one full of joy and lived with mindful intention!

I am a native Southern Californian (I know, I know...) who now lives in Happy Valley with my wife, Lori. We have three grown children and no pets (but we dog-sit occasionally!) I enjoy cycling (#reachthebeach), kayaking, hiking, traveling, and playing music as a member of the Oregon National Guard 234th Army Band where I play saxophones/clarinets and lead the unit's Health and Safety Team.

Registered Yoga Teacher

I attended my first yoga class in 2017 as a way to even out Crossfit training. Although I didn't stick with Crossfit, I stuck with weight lifting and found yoga to be a way I incorporated more mobility in active life. As I continued my personal practice, it became more than just a physical, it began impacting me positively, both mentally and emotionally. In 2021, I decided to enroll in Teacher Training, with the intention that I could then offer others what I felt I had been taught through yoga practice. I completed a 200 hour power vinyasa training in Portland. As I've progressed in teaching, I have realized that while I love taking vinyasa classes, I love teaching a slower style of yoga - known as yin yoga. Yin is a great compliment to strength training and endurance exercise. It might be the one opportunity you have in a week to pause, and just be. Not having to strive for anything more, not to do anything more or to be anything more, but just be. I am passionate about seeing people thrive physically, mentally and emotionally and feel honored to facilitate that space.

Registered Yoga Teacher

I attended my first yoga class in 2008, where it quickly became my safe space from the busy world, transforming both my mind and body. In 2017 I enrolled in Yoga Teacher Training to deepen my own practice. It was during that time that I realized I wanted to share what I was learning with others and began teaching classes at local gyms and corporate businesses. Since then, I have furthered her training, which now includes Prenatal Yoga.
 

I approach yoga through balance, strength, flexibility, and mindfulness. My classes focus on Vinyasa Flow, where you can expect to move, sweat, and breathe,. Hope to see you on the mat!
